I also, try to be more diligent about the renewals, which means getting on the library online site almost daily to check! I am better in the summer when I work part time hours at school. However, I am really astounded to find out the monies don't go the library! Now I am going to check when I am in there tomorrow! I didn't mind to much when I thought the monies were buying more books, because for me, if I had to purchase all the books I read, I would be one sad reader! But we pay our taxes.... so now I will have to be even more diligent!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4244600836796663551.post-71761852885746129422014-06-06T23:44:54.730-04:002014-06-06T23:44:54.730-04:00The Night Road is from Hill's first book "...The Night Road is from Hill's first book "Heart Shaped Box" and is the inscape where the main character can meet and chat with the dead.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14917521681576264098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4244600836796663551.post-33323810458088612632014-02-11T17:23:27.936-05:002014-02-11T17:23:27.936-05:00Thanks for the reviews, which have lead me to buy ...Thanks for the reviews, which have lead me to buy Cast On Bind off. I understand that our library is a city department. But so is Parks & Rec. If my son broke a piece of recreation equipment, and we (or better yet, HE) paid for a replacement, I would assume that the replacement money would actually PAY for that replacement. What's even more frustrating for a librarian is to find that even the fees collected for lost books go into the general fund. I was sitting in Mr. Ricker's 6th grade class, when a little after 2 pm a woman who lived across the street from the school came to our class to tell him. He gasped and then told us President Kennedy had been shot. What followed was 4 days of black and white, 3 channel TV coverage of the assassination, including the live shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby on Sunday morning. <br /> Great review--makes me want to read King's book!Bill Woodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11998691408319571882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4244600836796663551.post-11414275726137874482013-10-04T09:38:48.846-04:002013-10-04T09:38:48.846-04:00I don't think I have ever quit reading a book ...I don't think I have ever quit reading a book partway through, even if the writing SUCKS I still need to know how it ends!
